Rajan Varshney has over 35 years experience in energy sector and is from the largest Indian Power sector Company NTPC which is diversifying into related fields.
He is MTech from IITD and BE & MBA from Delhi. Certifications include “Harvard Management Mentor”, ” Carbon Markets and Energy Markets”, “Hydrogen and Green Chemicals”, “Energy Transition” etc. from IIT Roorkee and IIT Bombay. He spearheaded efforts for September 2020 notifications for H2 and HCNG as permitted fuels in Indian Motor Vehicle act and Safety standards for FCEVs.
He has taken several new Initiatives in decarbonisation, water and waste recyling and waste to value added products. His several papers in Hydrogen economy have been widely acclaimed. He has also published a chapter “H2 production from Biomass” in a book published by Springer Singapore under the “Climate Action and Hydrogen Economy” series.
